I’m going to order a 2022. From what I’ve read, I want the rear arm mounted in the upper hole. Assuming the guide says lower hole, do you think the dealer would mount in the upper at my request prior to set up? I suppose I can ask. But I won’t if it’s a hard no from those of you who are in the know.
Yeah. That’s what I’ve seen on 2021’s. Looks like the lug tips were cut or shaved or the mold job was not very good.
No big deal I suppose for some but I sure wouldn’t want that track.
Were the Ripsaw II 1.25’s lugs shaved down from 1.5’s for 2021. Look closely at the pictures and videos online. Look at your sleds. Look at the lug ends. I first noticed this on a Sidewinder at a Yami dealer a couple months ago and then on a RR at a Cat dealer a few weeks ago. Definitely does...
How did the 146 skid handle small and medium bumps and moguls? Looking at 2022 xtx Le. Want the transfer and hook up for all that power and a fairly smooth ride.
Thinking about buying my son a 2014 or 2015 Phazer XTX but it would be for trail riding mainly. Just wondering if anyone with trail riding experience would comment on...Handling? Stability? Ride quality? Thanks!
I test drove and looked over a 19 xtx se a couple seasons ago. I’m sure there is a rule of thumb for setting sag but on my last non torsion spring Yamaha I used 2 inches of drop at the bumper after sitting on the sled as a starting point. The goal should be to use as much travel as possible...
I appreciate the review as well. I see you have Fox air shocks on the front end. Is having air shocks on the front end necessary to get the best performance out of the rear suspension? Or, would a set of coil over front shocks work just as well with the rear? I suppose Fast recommends it’s air...
Oh OK. There was an all stock 2019 SRX with 1050 miles in northern Wisconsin on Craigslist over the weekend. $16000. Looked for that post for you but the post was gone this morning.
There is a 2020 SRX with 850 miles for sale at a dealership in Wisconsin (Port Yamaha). $15000. Appears to be all stock. I saw the ad on snowmobile trader.
Ok. After looking at the pictures again I see the strap is in between the shocks. I didn’t know what that was. Used to straps at the front of the skid. Thanks.
I’m interested in the King Air rear suspension as well. Although, what adjustments can be made to the skid for changing front end handling? I read the articles but they didn’t mention how the user can increase or decrease ski pressure. I suppose front skid shock air pressure could be changed...
