Will do Millstreet. This morning was 26F with just very small patches of ice starting to form. I mean very small! Doesn't look like any seriously cold air coming in until next week.
Yes..we've been on the lake sooner, but this is not that unusual, but it's still :o| :o|
Super info guys. I love it when great minds (not me, "you" guys) get together to discuss and share the finer details. This is how we learn and make good decisions.
Ted is very well versed on how I ride and the conditions encountered, etc.
Either way Thanks All.
Great site. Great people! ;)...
Are you assuming that it is infact a Bosch sensor that comes standard with the Innovate LC-1 XD16 package?!? Ted J. will know for sure as he sold me the kit.
Right now the gauge reads 12.6-13.1 at 1500-3,000RPM. I haven't had a chance to bring up the rpm's on the stand yet.
Will and NTK sensor...
I just completed the install of an Innovate A/F LC-1 & XD-16.
I'd like to know the following before the first run of the season.
1. A/F ratio at Idle, mid range, wot?
2. Fuel suggestions? See sensor life concern below. I don't mind spending the $$ on good fuel.
I run 12-13# boost...
Ted..........As you know, I have one of these little Bender stage II turbos.
You also know I run 12-14# for long pulls some times. 1/2-3/4 mile.
I had the exhaust housing and pipes ceramic coated.
What effect will this have on the heat build up issue?
OTIS
I was running the same 8BU with similar weight set-up.
I think they're too light and with the Yamaha belt there was too much slippage.
I now have the super tips to play with. Ted says they grab the belt much harder. That along with the Yami belt or softer Ultamax III should keep the belts...
Camo 9830H w/ 1" cut down to approx 1/2 w/ 198 woody chizels.
Clutching never full achieved & carb leaks, A/F off. All corrected for this year.
Should do much better.
Numbers are radar not speedo
Here's a pic of mine.
The exhaust tip is the standard ceramic coating, shiny look.
The turbo housing and pipes are satin ceramic coated. Good to 2,000F withour lifting or cracking. I wanted the extra insurance and durability.
IMO Ted is right with the heat build theory.
It takes it's toll over time.
I also agree that heavier, more agressive weights stress the clutch castings over time. Add agressive traction products and ...YUCK!!
I blew a belt at 125 (true speed). The belt pieces (100s) had a feeling like they'd...
Condensation.
Hot exhaust hits cold pipes and steam forms. Things equal out and gone!Just like clouds when a cold front hits a warm front.
Mine always seems to do it and no problem with coolant level.
