is the YTX14H-BS the stock battery? i just got back from vac and meant to order one before i left. i just want something comparable the the stock one, if not i just get a stocker.

137 speedo on my 06 rtx (=120 on radar) that was perfect ice. that was first year i had it and did it a few times, i hit 118-119 all day. i have tried all the cheap tricks and found little gains from stock. since then i havent found perfect conditions. tricks tried are: 1" hacksaw, spark...

ran a 1" hacksaw w/168 1.38 studs. didn't see any gain in top end on ice. lost quite a bit in the fluff. sold it & put on a cobra.

whats the lug & length on the track on the 1000? seems like the crossover had better traction. in lose or meely snow, you have to figure weight & depending on traction is what brought the lower ETs for all of them.

i had 3,300 miles and they(donuts) were toast but i ran her pretty hard. a lot of high speed ice radar runs the first 2 years. no damage to Y-Pipes though.

the one posted was my first shock. my second is about half the ware. most of my problem was angled backers, but the track is still too close & will rub some even with no studs. most never even notice.

only difference between the er & '06 rtx was the color, shield, fox floats & the option of no reverse. I love mine. you will find little tweaks to suite youself like maybe skis,clutch/gearing,track... you need the '06 handlebars with the '07 & up whip to keep your hands warm with the low...

what sj said, your mix from the factory came too strong. I've run glare ice drags all day and have never seen my temp light come on.

there is 4 months of decent/good riding. then you have to remember to subtract the week ends, they get beat fast.

should have paid no more than 9500 for the 06 gt new. my friend & I paid 1,800 less than list for our 2006's (snowchecked). he paid 9000 for his gt. if he got say 6500, i don't think thats too bad of resale value.
