You should not have to add anyhting to your oil. If you feel the need to add something maybe a little bit of research and you can find an oil that already has the addative built in to it. One should never alter the original design of the oil they are purchasing.

This test was done in 2003, Oil and filters have come a long way since then. I would bet that Yamaha has made some improvements since then.
