I have seen some info on updating a 03 rx1 reat .. i have done it with foam from an uphoslstry shop but it did not cut it.... anyone have the correct foam name density and any other info I can give them to get me the correct type foam
Use the same type of foam that is in the seat or more foam that is even more dense. It is the shape of the foam/seat/suspension that is at fault not the foam.

Try putting the new foam under the original that way you keep the shape much better. There's a post from a while back that had a good set of instruction and materials to do this.

If you are considering keeping the sled for a while??? then I HIGHLY recommend an Apex/Nytro seat.
IMHO:The difference between that and a stuffed seat is incomparable. Plus you get a trunk as a bonus.

I used 2" of high density blue foam which I got from an auto upholstery shop. Worked great. Had to raise my handlebars 2" though to compensate.

How about a 05 vector seat......??Will that be enough?
