I went out Sat. and my speedo started cycling all over the place. It wasn't reading anywhere near the speeds I was going and was jumping all over even when sitting still. Now it just reads zero mph. Anybody have this problem before?

More than likely, your drive shaft bearing (below secondary) is shot and may have taken out speedo sensor as well.

The bearing is good and the sensor hasn't been gouged up . I think it is an electrical problem but don't know how to test for it. Ken...

Check to see if the connector at the back of your cluster is plugged in. Had the same thing happen to me. Turned out the connector wiggled loose.

I assume you checked the Speedo Sensor's wiring connections when you checked the sensor. Given this assumption, ...
Check the connector on the gage, then the main relay and if you have power to the gage from the main relay, but not speedo reading, then it could be the gage.

Turned out the wiring sleeve vibrated and wore a hole through the harness and grounded out on the frame. Its where the wiring harness is held down by the bearing on the frame near the toe hold.Pulled it out, wrapped it up and its fine.FYI

Bad cable
Check the wiring harness in the nose of the sled...in front of the battery.
That is where my problem was.
