Hi everyone....
I am new to the forum, I came across the forum while searching for clutch kits, which brings me to my first question...I just bought an '04 warrior, bone stock. I was curious if anyone had any recomendations on which clutch kit to put on it. I am an aggressive trail rider, with the occasional drag on the lake. I have looked at heel clicker and ulmer. I just sold my '03 RX-1, which had a mountain performance roller secondary on it, mainly just to reduce the engine braking. I want to do the same thing with my warrior, but maybe get a whole kit this time. From some of the other discussions I've read, it sounds like a roller secondary alone isn't really worth the money. I also had a ohlins rear shock on my '03, which I took off before I sold it to put on my warrior, only to find out last night that it's a half an inch too short, so if anyone is interested in it, let me know. Anyway, just looking for some advice on a clutch kit, as well as any other advice, such as studs. Thanks!!!!

i personally like the ulmer kit. it is what i am running on my 05. it is the stage 2 kit that came with both springs, rollers ,helix and weights pre set by ulmer. it is spot on where the rpms should be and doesn't do too bad off trail either.
out of curiosity, how much for the olin? it would fit bros viper and he still has stock 02 shocks on it. pm me with the price if you do not want to post it. thanks.

Thanks for the input. I am leaning towards the Ulmer Stage 2 kit, so I think I will give him a call. What would you suggest for studs with the Ulmers kit installed?
I actually just put the shock on e-bay with a reserve of $250, which I don't think is too bad for a $600 shock with 1,500 miles on it.

Just put a o-s-o spring in the primary and also pull the helix off of the secondary and put a 5/16 lock washer on each stud and reinstall the helix with the white spring at the 3-3 setting and see how you like it!

Been there done that, with my Shorty. In my opinion, O-S-O's engagement is too high for trail riding. Even the stock setup with the tip rivets removed is better than the O-S-O & white combination. I like the Stage II setup much better.
