05 RS/RX-1 Seat Question

I've seen a couple different pictures of the black and silver 05 seats and was wondering if they were different between the RS and RX series. I know both seats are interchangeable but was interested in the color design. I saw a picture on ebay of what was listed as a 05 RX-1 seat that was black and silver. This seat not only had the silver stripe along the bottom sides but also came up and across the back section of the seat (where you are not suppose to sit). I also saw what was listed as a 05 RX-1 seat that was black and silver but only had the silver stripe along the bottom sides.

Was the seat with the silver stripe that ran up over the back of the seat actually a 05 RS seat or was the seat that only had the silver stripe along the sides actually a 04 seat? How are you able to tell the difference between an 04 and 05 seat? On my 03 black and silver seat, the stripe is only at the bottom sides and the top rear portion of the seat is flat. What year did they start adding a slight contour to this section?

The 05's have a lot more padding and are taller then either the 03 or 04.

Looked on E-bay under yamaha rx seat but did not see the one you mentioned?

I think the difference on the stripe has to do with the model of RX-1. I'm not sure but, I believe all the LE Spring order only models (03-05) all had the silver going up and over the back. Somebody with last years Matte Black LE should be able to confirm this. Here is a picture of my '03 LE seat.

Thanks guys! BlgsRX-1mtn and NY_Warrior, I think you answered my question. It appears the non-LE 05 black and silver RX-1 seats do not have the stripe across the back. Meklke, the ebay auction has ended but I was able to snatch a pic of it. Here is what I thought all 05 black and silver seats were going to look like but after seeing NY_Warrior's seat, this seat must have been off a LE. I recently purchased a 05 black and silver and just got it yesterday. I had not seen one other than the one in this pic. Therefore, I was thinking the one I just bought was going to look like it and when it didn't, I started wondering if it was a 05 or 04. It has the slight contour on the back portion rather than being flat like my 03 but wasn't sure if that was added in 04 or 05. Although the one I have may not look like the one in this pic, it's still an 05 seat and will be so much better than my 03. Anyone want to buy my 03; just had the cover replaced under warrantly.
