HAve a friend that wants me to long-track his Vector shorty, I don't want to swap skids or use extension was going to order 136" rails. Anyone long-track theirs? What works best!

136"

I had this kit on my 05 www.hartmaninc.com/vector.html
I loved it the only thing is when you long track the 05 vector the rear suspension springs are way to soft.I bought some nytro springs man it rode awesome after that. After putting on that kit I will never have a 121" again.

I've been looking into this as well. I don't want extensions but Yamaha does not make a 136" rail. The best solution I can find is to go 144 off a Venture. I know some guys like extensons but I don't. The 144 relocates the rear arm further back so it isn't over leveraged by the skid like 136 extensions.

If I am not mistaken, the Rage uses a solid rail with out extentions and it is a 136 track. Why not try a set of those? My '06 has the mono skid and the '05 Rage is also a 136 but I dont know about the rails being solid or extended on the '05.

The thing about the Rage is that the 05's used the old Pro-Action rear skid and the 06's use the Monoshock. The Vector uses the proactive rear skid thus the rails are not interchangable between the three rear skids.

The Venture 144 is a proactive and should just be rails that are needed plus relocated the rear mount further back on the tunnel.
