I've have to say that the suspension in it's stock form is OK. I had the same inner idler wheel problem - they delaminated at about 200 miles. They were replaced under warranty with a solid plastic wheel. After roughly 2000 miles, they are still working fine. Hyfax wear was normal. And I didn't have any track ratcheting problems.
But like I said - OK in stock form. The mods that I have done have greatly improved the capability of this suspension, and sled as a hole. First thing I did was stretch it to a 136 with a 1.5" lug. Then I added Ski-Doo intro-extro driver. Now this mod alone made a world of difference in the bump capability of the sled. Just by stretching it, I can hit bumps harder and faster than before. Somehow this suspension seems to work better as a long-track. Talk to the boys at Hygear - they will agree that the best thing you can do to this skid is stretch it!
The next mod I'm doing will be to add Hygear's CK linkage kit. There was a media release of this mod posted in last month's issue of SnowTech. This kit removes the linkage between the center shock and rear shock. It allows the suspension to act more freely, reduces friction and will improve the ride in a wider range of conditions. There is more to this kit than what I have noted - but that's the jist of it.
That's my 2 cents.
