Do you think that the new seats like on the nytro will fit on a 05 vector, it looks like it would to me. How much do you think seats would cost.

Pretty hard to anwser those questions unless you have the sleds side by each.

but if you look at the pics in the photo gallery of the nytro and the vector side by side everything looks the same, gas tank, sides, back everything.

Thanks on the verified fit, I was pretty sure it would. I like the seat also. But unless it is the same or cheaper than a Boss I'd get the Boss which is I'm sure what they used for testing.

You'll need a step ladder to get on your sled, they look a bit taller now.

With the rider forward another 6 inches I think they could have gotten away with the 05 or even the 04 seat as it gets thick quick as you slide your butt up towards the front.

If you get the 06 seat your gonna have to raise your bars too cause that seats alot higher!

ur better off just buying an 06...i've did that different bars, risers, cables, hoses, pads, all that stuff....good luck if u can get it under $400....i didnt. but mine looks stock cept 6" taller.

already got the risers on, but is a little tall sitting down with the 05 seat so this new one would be perfect, but what would the prices be. I always liked the rider forward, but this would be the best of both worlds with rider forward and 4 stroke

This seat is very similar to the BOSS Widetop High Rise model that I put on my F5. This sled is a spare for friends and visitors after 3 weeks and about 10 different riders I traded this seat for a stock 05 as not one rider liked this seat. May find 06 owners putting 05 seats on their sleds. You sit way high like on a bike, no fanny bump. Out of five kids only one of them liked it. I am shocked that Yamaha is putting tjis seat on all their new models.
