I have a stock 07 attak gt minus the m10 141" suspension I put in. I'm looking for a new track as the 136" ripsaw has 6000 miles and a lot of torn lugs. I'm looking for something with a larger lug like a 1.5 or 1.75 for all the powder up here. I do 50/50 groomed trails and swamps/rivers. What tracks are available for these drivers that I should be looking at? I found a track off a new viper that's a 141" 1.6" but can't find if this will work. I'm fairly mechanically inclined but don't know a ton about track pitch and such.

I saw someone say that in the faqs as well but didn't see a track number or anything. When I go to Dennis Kirk they don't list the cobra for that sled thus why I'm bugging you guys with more experience.

My buddy has 2 Attak's one stock and one Supercharged and both machines he put the 136 Cobra on them. I think they work very well. The SC one is nailed and the other is not. I spent a whole day on the stock one in the UP of Michigan logging 150 miles on his stocker and this is the ticket. I am currently looking to buy an Attak myself and that will be my first purchase for it......then skis, then clutching.............

PS: The day I rode it I had the speedo wound up to 118mph and it was still climbing so top end did not seem to be much of an issue.

With changing to a cobra do you have to change to extrovert drivers? I'm trying to avoid sinking a ton of money into it.

Remove the tunnel & front heat exchanger protectors and install the 1.75 back country track, if you want better off trail performance. For a better all around performance track go with the 1.5 intense I would recommend installing anti ratchet drivers also. I use stock drivers but it has slipped when hill climbing.

2011 apex come from the factory with extroverts, kind of like the hand warmers, it takes 6-8 years for Yamaha to adress a problem.

Hahaa, that's funny vx700....and I didn't even realize the 11's came with extroverts...

Hey in Yamaha's defense my 2010 vector has extrovert drivers :-P

To 07 does it slip often when hill climbing or did it just happen once to you? I don't do much hill climbing at all just playing in the swamps, lakes and rivers. Will the 1.5 fit no problem but 1.75 needs everything removed?

Not if your machine is stock or unless you are a real big guy or possible plan on off trail excursions. These four strokes are a bit heavy for off trail riding without being turbo'd of SC'd.

My friend does have extroverts on the supercharged Attak which has around 240HP.

extoverts allow you to run track much looser without ratcheting and that extends hyfax life. And some think the ratcheting is what causes the drive shaft to fatigue and eventually break.

I'm right at 200 dressed so not a huge guy. I'm not terribly worried about hyfax wear that I can always figure out if I need to add a wheel kit or something. I know these things weigh a ton but they've got lots of torque for when you are in the powder just does no good with a busted up track.

My friends have switched to the 3M hyfax to remedy the hyfax wear on their stockers.
