I've looked but to no avail have found any info on how to change the chain case oil. I did the regular oil and filter no problem but how do you do the chain case as I don't see a drain plug.

You have to look on the bottom (obviously) towards the inside. Feel around or use a mirror. That's the way my 05 is.

Yep its inside the tunnel, if I remember right its a #10 wrench, 250ml to refil...

I bought the yamaha stuff right from the dealer I've never seen Amsoil products here in Canada then again I have never been looking either.

I use Amsoil in my chaincase, the nut is on the inside of the tunnel, just empty and refill..
