Just looked at the 09 Prices in Canada thread so i thought that i'd share some information on the Swedish prices. Nothing new i guess but still worth mentioning. The 09 prices aren't available yet afaik so i'll take the prices on the 08 instead.
Apex Warrior GT 40th: 152.900,00 SEK = ~25 000$
We've got a 25% VAT and a 10% duty fee included in that price so let's subtract these from the price above:
25 000 / 1.25 / 1.1 = ~18000 $.
For comparison:
MX Z 800 Renegade X 127.900 SEK = ~21000 $ /1.25/1.1 = ~15300$
I guess that we're a rich country, because Yamaha is doing rather well here. Though i'm hoping that the new Ski Doo fourstroke will force them to reconsider their prices a bit. Will be interesting to see how they'll price that machine here.

211 000 SEK/year which is around 35 000 $/year, or just below 3000$/month. Then we have a minimum of around 25-30% tax on that so perhaps 2250$/month after taxes.
I guess we are just stupid, paying that price for a sled!
You could get a new small car for alot less money!
Good thing for Yamaha that Sweden has a lot of Sledjunkies!
One thing that is interesting is that Yamaha has higher prices than the other brands in Sweden.

WOW! What kind of laws do you have against "grey market" sleds. We could ship you some slightly used Yamaha's from the US for a lot less than $18,000!

Actually there is NO problem importing sleds.. All you really need is a swedish instruction manual with some sort of EU number in them. I will be investigating getting my next sled from the US.
