will the 1.6 ice cobra fit with a 9 tooth extrovert driver or do you need to go down to an 8 tooth for clearance to the tunnel protectors. Or can you remove the protectors although probably not wise with the studs present.

You would have to remove the protectors. The rest of that equation is your call.

?? do you mean you would also have to remove protectors even if you did go down to an 8 tooth driver or only if you left the 9 tooth?
what about if i studded a 1.352 cobra, would it work with 9 tooth and protectors in place? I just want some better off trail performance

I was just answering for 9 tooth. With 8 tooth you can run a 2" lug if you pull the tunnel protectors. If you went 1.352 protectors could stay in. Once you get to 1.5" that's when the protectors get in the way.

So would 1.352 cobra with 1.4 studs be fine with a 9 tooth and protectors in place?

Should clear without any issues. I know some years and models you needed to create a protector for your rear cooler.
