- 2012 Nytro xtx, oft relocate, oilite bushings, comfort clutch, tunnel block, tailight relocate, cr10EK plugs, copper donuts, tuner skis, Grizz Tracks gusset kit. Excell x wheels. Mo-Flow console vent and curved vents.
Im in the process of installing a backcountry track on my 2012 xtx. I have everything out right now. I am planning on removing the tunnel protectors, but I would like to leave the last section of one of them in at the very back of the tunnel. I have my tail light re-routed and my wiring is attached to the last section of the tunnel protector between the end of the tunnel and where it is fastened to the muffler bracket. Can I leave that small section in with no clearance issues? Also do I have to cut off the heat exchanger protectors? Any info would be great, I know this question has been asked many times in the past, so if there are any links to the information that would be great.

You will definitely have to remove your heat exchanger protectors.
I think you could leave the last section of tunnel protector in. Should be easy to check your current clearance to determine if the taller lug will work.
