I was dooing some 1/8 mi run's with the RX-1 to day with my TAZZO perf computer, had a best of 7.56 ET at 93.1 MPH. This was with SIMON's HH set up, stage 1, on grass with about an inch or so of snow. Stock set up ran a best of 7.69 at the same mph. Do these ET's and MPH'S sound about right or is my TAZZO wacked. The MPH was verry close to my speedo with two teeth removed frome the speedo pickup on the drive shaft. What do you think, am i doing ok or is it a dog. Thought,s please. Thank's

Your best time is very good for what I’ve seen. Thats a very good speed  I couldn't get that with my stock setup, but I think some systems can be different to others. The frustrating part of racing on snow is that the track can get very chewed up. When all the sleds launch from the same spot, it can be hard to get traction afterward. Getting a good setup at home on hard packed snow/grass can end up a flop on loose snow with an ice base at the race track. I would rather get setup for ice drags just to have the consistency.
What are you running for a track?

Jeff at simon's CPR told me that grinding two teeth off of the small gear would send less impulse signel's to the speedo and it would put the speedo almost wright on, have not had a chance to radar it or gps it yet but it makes sense. When i find out i will post the result's. I figured if it did not work out that that small gear could not be mutch coin. For those who don't know the TAZZO uses G forces and time to calculate ET'S and MPH . Will give 60' ET, 60 MPH ET, 1/8 MI ET&MPH, 1/4 MI with 60'ET,1/4MI ET& MPH. I am verry impressed for 139$ US. Look up TAZZO on internet, they are just starting to do more sled ap's you just need a fairly smooth area to test on.

Dano i am running a ripsaw with 144 in center belt also put in custom valved rear shock frome pioneer perf, mutch plusher ride and i think it let's the sled transfer mutch quicker.
kviper, I have a Tazzo for my old Vette. How did you mount it and how did you connect it? I can't wait to test my sled with it. Thanks, Ted.

Ted i tried the suction cup holder that you can get for the wind shield, worked for a few run's then kept coming off so i velcrowed it just aside and slightly back frome the pod , I bought a female cigeret lighter conector that allready had aligator clips on the hot and ground wires. Make sure you do not get the hot and ground to geather, i conected them to the leades on the sled on the right side for jump starting. I bumped the hot and ground togeather and messed up the TAZZO, sent it back to the company and they fixed tor free, were real good about the whole deal, I also made sure to tape the hot one real good, will take it off when done testing. I may try a different location yet, realy liked it suction cuped to the windshield tho. Have fun. KVIPER

Very interesting! How does that box know its at the 660' mark? Does it kick on when the sled starts to move and give you a perfect reaction time?
Would be interesting if alot of guys on this site can share clutch setups with actual ETs and speeds.
I might be looking for one of them gadgets

Here is the one I have. Just got it, so I haven't had a chance to use it yet. Should be a great tool for comparing different clutch setups.

Dano the box detect's movement via G force and between that and time it calculate's distance. I measured off 660 FT and the unit cut of timing rite at 660. It is interesting i ran my V10 super duty through 1/4 at 18.0 to 18.3's don't remember the MPH but i know it was verry close to the truck speedo and i think the company say's the ET'S should be with in 2 hundridth's and the MPH within 2 tenth's. As i said earlier not bad for 139$
kviper, Thanks for the info. This should help sort out all the variables in clutch set ups. It sure helped my 60ft times on the street.(practiced different launch rpms) Thanks, Ted.
