With the setup ive got I cannot come out of the hole at a sane RPM. My holeshot rpms are 10,800 on hardpack in warm temps. On ice cold days on hard pack its a bit higher. Stock clutching I could dance with the skis in the air and now it jumps up and down like an outta control chevelle lol. In the manual it says not to go any higher than having 2 washers and bolt in the shoulder but Im wondering has anyone gone higher than that without any clearance problems? My secondary is at 3-3. Ive had to add a bolt to the centre though so I could at least backshift in 3' of powder otherwise
I'm stuck in a gear.

So adding that I removed a washer from the shoulder. With this I have the best of both worlds and on top end I can climb to 10,700. It was a little higher in rpms without the centre bolt in top end rpms and I know that with removing the washer from the shoulder and adding a bolt to the centre I lost over 10 kmh and no doubt top end speed. I know that you either gotta clutch for powder or hardpack if youre looking for racing performance and chainging it around only takes a couple of minutes.

I am somewhat satisfied with 10,700 on top but im losing too much ground in the hole by spinning so much. My first set up with the 2 washers had my rpms low out of the hole but running that with a bolt in the centre might affect top end too much and i might only see 10400-10500 on the tach.

So any fellow '11 owners with 2 speeds come across a way to tame this beast. :-o

Try this
look for a y-s-y primary spring
1 bolt 1 washer in heel
1 bolt in centre.
With yamacharger i need an extra washer in heel(drops 400 rpm) but man does it pull hard.
Rpm,s should be very very close on hardpack on a good day.

I am running 1bolt 2 washers in the shoulder and a bolt in the center. From dead stop when i stab it goes to 10,200 and then reves out to 10,600 on top. Pulls like crazy love this set up.Tested against my bud with a 2011 x fire 800 ho. And with this set up i got the best resalts so far. Spent all day testing different set ups. All tests were done on a snow covered lake so traction was not a problem. :jump:

russian i use the black spring with your set up less one washer in the shoulder and i hit the rev limiter. what spring u using. I am looking for a y-s-y now to see. I thought when I had the 2 washers in the shoulder and bolt in centre the top end was comparable to that of stock clutching. Anyone else want to chime in?

turk is the y-s-y a little smaller than the stock spring which is b-s-b or rather a little less stiffer spring I'm just wondering if a guy could throw that back in or whats the difference between them... Whats the preload for it cause it sounds like there is two sizes for the xtx.

Either way I know right now what needs to be done to get it to become a rocket one day, or a powder muncher the next, has anyone found any adverse effects going up to 10,800 on top even though ive seen a dyno chart saying they run just as well there too?

I seen much better resalts with the white spring . No loss on top and much better 0-100mph. All my testing was based of racing my buds 2011 800 ho cat. Give it a try.
