Has anyone put the rail 128" rail extensions on there 121" nytro, I'm interested in doing this during the summer, I find the sled looks strange with the shorter track and thinking the extensions would fit without tunnel extension, I mostly trail ride so I know I don't need the 144" and thinking that if I went 136" I would need to extend tunnel... any input?

If your taking about the stars skid relocation it's a good mod. Gives it a much better ride. There's no rail extensions it changes the mounting location of the skid.

The good thing about the relocation kit is it changes the pitch at the front of the track, stock it has like a 30 degree pitch which causes the back to buck over bumps. The relocation kit drops the pitch to 19 degrees and gives it a far better ride.

If your wanting to extend to a 128", the relocate is a much better route over extensions. The only thing you gain with extensions is 1-2 lugs on the ground. The relocate changes the handling characteristics, better approach angle etc. IMO your just wasting money as there is nothing to gain by putting extensions on. Relocation = new sled.

I have looked at it and I'm not really looking to be a off trail sled, the only reason I'm really looking into it is something looks weird with the rear being so short compared to the tunnel, I have a few miles and really don't have any complaints about ride or handling ( my old sled was a 98 Mach so big upgrade anyway)

It's perfect for the trail, that's what I use mine for. It changes your track to a 128 so you'll get the look you want, it's cheaper, and you'll get extremely better ride/handling. Install is real easy and almost the same amount of work as the rail extensions. Not trying tell you what to do I just think you'd be much happier with it.

I do zero off trail unless I'm forced to lol. It lengthens the wheel base (so to speak) and makes the Nytro handle flat. The change in handling is drastic in my opinion...the sled rails compared to stock. The better approach angle is an added benefit for guys that do go off trail. Go with the extensions if that's your preference, but there is zero to be gained for the cost and work put in to doing it....with the relocate you get nothing but benefits.

Tom the relocate kit uses original skid but mounts it further back by a few inches more
YOU just have to buy the 128 inch track
I think everyone is trying to say.
Yannie the relocate kit from Star Suspension is $130 Canadian

You have to buy a 128 track with the rail extensions too, and it's probably $40-$50 cheaper after conversion and shipping.Tom the relocate kit uses original skid but mounts it further back by a few inches more
