1st Annual Oneida Lake King of the Trail

Just got off the phone with don king and we decided the event will be held on Sunday March 2nd at Coopers Landing in Cicero New York, it will be one class only with a 20 dollar entry fee, the trail ride will go from coopers to the golfcourse at borios back to fisher bay and to the ice back to coopers, the guy who rides the sled on the trail rides it in the race. The race will be held on 1000ft snow track with 4 sleds run at one time and the top 2 advance to the next round, all pairings will be random. There are no stud or track or suspension restrictions if you can run it on the trail then race it. All sleds will have colored zipties holding the hoods closed, the only way a hood could be open is if a sled breaks a belt then wait for a official to watch the belt being changed the belt needs to be broke and not worn out, any changes can be made to the sleds without opening the cowl (suspension, boondocker, warming outside mount nitrous bottle, etc). We are thinking 500 to win 250 to RU and 125 for 3rd and 65 for 4th. Like mike said this isnt for all sleds it is for trail sleds and a huge coopers party after all is done

Yea now to me that is a race that has real world value. Sort of like the pump gas drags that are held with hot rod cars. Good race guys I bet this will catch on and hope many more to follow.
