Wow looks like great conditions, and really nice trails. I just got back from my first ride, first tracks on the lakes made by me  .

Which trails/area were these pic's taken?
May have to make a trip up to your area this weekend.

Thats the Fish Hatchery, 20 mins north east of North Bay on Hwy 63. Call Camp Conawango on Lake Talon if you need a place to stay, they are on the groomed trail at the very end of Songis Road. Man those pics are bringing back memories. Thanks

How were the pilots?

There wern't any other tracks except for mine. So I didn't really encounter any optimum darting conditions..but The steering felt waaay lighter and there was absolutely no twitchyness. I think these skiis are going to rock. At full speed runs the sled was totally solid. Pushed a litlle in the corners but that was to be expected with the lil 4 inch carbides that came with it. Going to install the bigger ones soon..Or dial my front suspension a lil harder in the front. All in all I am very very happy with the Pilot 5.7's. Can't wait for the wide open runs in Cochrane coming up soon

You will love the pilots,
until the first time you get into 6 in + of fresh
and a tight corner going too fast ,
be careful , it will NOT turn !

Those don't look like the type of conditions that longer carbides would help out in much. They are loose trails with powder on them, so the carbides really shouldn't be biting much if at all. May need to play with suspension adjustments to get those skis to bite harder.

Does anyone else agree with this. "GSXR" not doubting you but I am asking around because I am really thinking about buying them. My main reason is the push in the corners. Simmons are just too much ski pressure for me. I usually ride between 200 to 300 miles a day and feel they can really wear on you.

Thanks,

I think your right..The settings on the front shocks were 3 clicks away from the softest setting..I think if I just maybe click 4 more times then it should just be about perfect..Anyone know if the rebound settings will make a difference? They are currently about 3 clicks off of total soft as well..I know they have about 21 clicks of play while the top clicker has 10..

I love my pilots...the 2nd season I put on shaper bars and they are UNBELIEVABLE!.....those stock small DOO carbides are too small....

light steering,no darting...pilots are by far best bang for buck.
