Sorry I dont post much Im more of a lurker and only post if I feel I can add to the conversation. Not sure what happened to my orginal profile woodchk454 but Iwas originally a member in 03/04 soooo here I am again with a bigger/better more original profile. 
Now for the nitty gritty.
Ive been searching and reading quite a bit on swaping skid frames into my 03 shorty, but Ive not really found any info on mounting locations for the Summit 144 skid frame or for sure if it will even fit. Didnt skipoo go to a 16" wide track sometime around 04/05 and is it just the track width that changed or did the skid grow as well.
Also any opinions as to which is a better skid the 144 sc10III or the 144 Edge? Let the opinions good and bad fly.

Sji doo did put 16" wide tracks on some sleds but the suspensions are the same so you can run a 15" wide one.
You can mount any skid undwer you sled you just need to know the dimensions of the sled it came out of.
The suspension holes from the center of the driveshaft.
Also from the top of the tunnel down to the holes.
The ski doo skid and poo skid are both great.I have put doo and polaris skids in yamahas.They are both really reliable.Make shure the doo has rebuildable shocks of you go that route.The polaris swithback 144" had tipped up rails which would be better for tail riding but if you riding strictly off trail then straight rails are better.

Would really love to find a switchback skid but have had no such luck. I do mostly rough trail riding
