I am currently looking at either replacing my 121 skid with a 136 or the new XTX 144. Anything that would need to be fabricated wouldnt' be a problem as that's what I do for a living. (Racecar Fabricator)
Are either of the two skids bolt in? as in they use the same 4 mounting locations? or do new points need to be added to the tunnel? If new points added, is there different structure integrated into a XTX tunnel that is not in a 121/128 tunnel sled? I know i need to extend my tunnel in the rear and i assume move the rear heat extractor back as well. But are there any other major changes that need to go on to make one of these swaps possible?
My sled has 8500 miles on it and runs great with the exception of my rear skid. its time for another rebuild (last one was at 4500 miles when my jackshaft bearing exploded!!)
I would really like to go to the new XTX apex skid... just seams hard to find one without buying new.
