2007 attack Problems

Posting for a friend...

He has a 2007 attack and when he was out for a ride he shut off the machine and when he turned the key on it had the high beam light on but the button was in the low beam position. He started the machine and the self diagnosis and warning light came on so he shut the machine off. He then tried to start it again and the dash lights came on but the fuel pump didn't run and the engine wouldn't turn over. After waiting for a few minutes, it started perfect. After riding for 10 minutes or so, the warning light and self diagnosis light began to blink again, He shut it off and started again perfectly and worked fine for the rest of the day. He isn't sure if there was a code or not.

He just had the oil changed and machine serviced at the dealer.

Any thoughts?

Sounds like bad connection or intermitent ground. I would check the plug for the headlight pod.

If that's not it you might want to check the ground blocks. Here is the sticky
