I did some searching to find a smoking deal on a 'leftover' FX.
New price was $9,199 CDN and I can get one for $8,300. That seems okay, but... I don't need to take delivery until fall.
So a salesman recommended I get a 2008 RTX (MSRP $9,599). He can 'snowcheck' me one for $8,900. Sounds like the way to go, heh?

My only problem with the '08... Yammi's website shows them with the ugly grey side panels, not the black like the '07 FX. Sounds petty, but I'm not a huge fan of the Phazers styling. I think I can live with it if the panels are black though.

buying the 08 gets you 3 year warranty vs 1 year for the 07. Something to consider!!!!! 08 has a lot of updates including addressing some cooling & ice build up issues. No brainer & don,t let a colour sway your decision!

wow, what are all the updates? Had not realized they made changes for overheating or ice build up?

The ice-buildup issue is an easy fix from what I hear. And the dealer that quoted me the price on the FX has already saved me the trouble.

But what I want to know is... how are the Fox shocks on the RTX? Are they really that much better than the FX suspension, I mean enough to justify an extra $400 MSRP?

For around 600 buck I think you can buy floats...put them on the 07 and have the color you want. then you could still try the gyt's as a comparison to see what you like better. If I was going to buy the 08 I like the orange A-arm version. Good Luck.
