I fired up my 2008 mtx yesterday, and everything worked great. Then I went back to it and tried to start it. It ran for about a secound and then it died. Now when I turn the key on everything is dead. I have no lights or gauges at all. I tried checking fuses but it all looks good. What could it be???? Thanks

Did you try boosting it?
It could also be the stater relay.
Check for wiring. I heard there was a wire harness on some sleds that have worn through causing a short in the system. I think it was behind the primary clutch. There is a thread on this somewhere here, try a search.

just a thought
Dont take offence to this but
DId someone hit the kill switch when you were not looking. it shuts everything down until you pull back up. This actaully got a friend of mine over the summer he forgot about the switch until he went to fire it up the next season. No power though the battery was dead until he remembered the kill switch.
Look at the obivous stuff first

electrical issues are the worst to diagnose. I've had my share, there's no sense in guessing, if you can't test it yourself, you'll have to give it to someone who can.
