2009 Yamaha Nytro RTX 144 conversion

hey all, looking to put a 144” ski in my nytro just wondering what everyone is running for conversion skids and what currently is the best way to convert it. Also any recommendations on tracks to run would be great also

You can run rail extensions on your stock skid to get to 144. Some of these extensions "tip-up"....when the skid is sitting on flat ground, the extension angles up a bit and the rear axle is off the ground a little bit.

Or, you can set-back your stock skid....move the whole skid rearward in the tunnel AND run 136 extensions. The set-back + 136 extensions would allow for a 144. You can buy a kit to set it back, or drill new holes/re-brace the tunnel. This was the option I did.

I run a backcountry 1.75" lug. Many love this track. Others go for a smaller lug.

I bought an 08' Nytro RTX with 144" 6 degree Tracks USA tipped up rail extensions. Its a pretty sweet set up. If I stretched it myself I would go with 136' rail extensions and a Star skid set back kit using a 144" track as Pmtg04 mentioned above. The sled will trench less off trail in deep snow as the skid set back provides a more gradual approach angle for the track. See http://www.starsuspensions.com/ G.B.
