Any one hear anything about storing a bag in the nose like the older
APEX? The 2011 has more electrioncs in front that may need the cooling
from the front vents. ALso the stuff that was in my 07 APEX would not fit
in the 2011,who said the trunk was bigger???:o|

The "trunk" sucks its a lot smaller than my 06. I put the bag in the nose over the power boxes and left room around them for air. I hope they don't over heat. There is no place to store anything on this machine. I like to carry some survival stuff just in case so I put it in the nose bag I had on my o6 and left as much room around the power boxes as I could.

I picked up the windshield bag to keep a few things in. Your right not much room to store anything .

Yes ,,just polished for now. Should be sanded for a better finish. I'm waiting for a Zoopseal kit to try and keep it nice .

Yessir You nailed it !

Just make sure you do it before you install the decal ;)!

Glad I'm not the only one complaining about the miserable trunk. I too was worried about the front storage and heating up the electronics. I guess a tank bag is in order GRRRR. :whine:

I didn't think the trunk was too small on the new sleds.

Much smaller than pre-production units. Large box on tunnel above muffler, I'm guessing something caught fire!!! So storage takes a hike. :dunno:

Get a tank bag and windshield bag. It looks good and you can have some storage.

Is the windshield bag worth it? And Banks93, are snowtrackers in your future? Does snowtracker make wearbars for the 2011 skiis yet? I'm going to wear out the standard ones first and then decide. I loved the snowtrackers on my 2006ER so I think thats the way I will go.

I only paid around $30 for my windshield bag off of ebay, but Im really happy with mine. handy place to keep cords for Eshields, a knit cap, tobacco products (if you use them), spare set of gloves, camera, hand warmers, first aid, etc..

Not that the rear compartment cant hold those items, but you can take your windshield bag off (velcro) and bring it with you when you stop for food and stuff.

I take basically anything I used to store in my coat and put it in the bag. I keep tools/fuses/parts/ etc.. in the rear storage. I keep all my tow straps, shackles, repelling rope (100') and a 50' paracord and tarps in my nose bag. Only thing I dont have that I think I should is a shovel of some sort.

I put 8" slim jim's on for right now. I have two set of snowtrackers if I want to put them on it if the slim jim's don't work.

My snowtrackers are pretty worn down from last year. I need to get some new wear bars if I want to use them again. I think somebody said they had them on a demo unit for the new Apex so I think they would work for it.
