Hey guys,
I just brought home a 2012 Nytro XTX on Monday. After reading a few topics here, I figured I'd ride the sled this season pretty much stock — as far as performance goes.
But I was looking into carbides. With Yamaha's new tunable ski, should I even bother with carbides right now? Or should I see how these new skis handle? Also, has there been any sort of feedback on these new skis? (I don't plan to stud this year, either.)
Thanks.

I like to ride it stock, tune the suspension and then start to change items to know what effect the changes are having, I would ride it and go from there.

Listen to basic and Zakre. Ride it, find out what you have first. There's lots of people that will tell you change this change that but just listen to what the sled says. It's a new year for the xtx along with new skis, etc, etc. so enjoy it. You'll know what to do as you go along. Good luck and enjoy!

lol..no kidding...last year when I checked them. They wore right out and also some of the ski. Wondered why it wouldnt turn

6' carbide is a noticable upgrade along with turning the rubbers around (shimming) between the ski and spindle.
the downside is your arms and shoulders get a very big workout everytime I ride
