Just bought this,,,2400 original miles from the original owner. Has a seats concept but I would nt mind trying the factory seat. He used the original base so all I have is a factory cushion and cover but no base. How much do people get for just a base? 2011 -2018 ?

You can't just order the base hence why the previous owner used his existing base along with the Seat Concepts cushion padding and their cover. You would almost have to undo the Seat Concepts to revert back unless you can find a used complete seat for sale.

Thanks for the reply. I guess Im just going to use the seat concepts he had put on there..trying to find a used seat pan just to try the original seat cushion and cover isnt easy or cheap. I probably would prefer the concepts cushion and cover anyways by the sounds of it. Ive just got to redo it because who ever put the concepts cushion and cover on didnt use enough staples and its wrinkled. ...looks bad. Also the handle bars seem low now with the thicker seat so I was thinking about putting a Rox 2" riser that also pivots. Looking at some threads theres a possability the throttle cable could be stretched to tight for the TORS? Sounds like it can rerouted without buying a new throttle cable or should I just buy the cable? What part number do I need? 2013 apex XTX,Thanks

I believe you will be fine at just 2" over stock. It's when you go longer that it becomes an issue and you have to possibly reroute the cable and/or brake line or possibly get a longer throttle cable. I added a 7.5" Lake Effect riser which was just 1.5" over stock and did not have to move/adjust anything when installing.

Yup, take a look at my install video. You could easily pull those staples and do it up much better. A $25 Harbor Freight Air stapler is gold though!
I have also been running the PowerMadd 2.5" pivot riser on top of my stock riser on the last two apex models. It's perfect height with that seat, and you will not need to replace your cables. I did the re-route on the throttle and has yet to give me a TORS error. It feels odd at first, but the seat and height is amazing! You may want to add hand guards, as your hands will have a bit less protection from the windshield afterwards.
Good luck!

viper dave runs a +5" riser on his apex xtx. i run a +4" lake effect riser on my 16 xtx and a +3" on my 11 xtx. all the sleds i mentioned are on stock cables/lines. the best tip when doing it is to run the throttle cable beneath the bars instead of over top as it does make the tors not activate as easily at any height addition.

Thanks,,, I thought about it and dropped the seat off at a local upholstery guy. I’m sure he’ll do a better job than I can. Anybody here have a 2011 and up seat base only for sale? Sounds like I can get away with a 2” rise with just a reroute so that’s good. I put snowtrackers on my last apex and sidewinder but this apex has power steering. Snow trackers still the way to go?
