24/24 pulley on stage 1 mpi, boost reads 10lbs, why?

i've got a stage one mpi and my boost gauge reads 10lbs at wot. i bought the kit used and it has 24 tooth top and bottom pulleys. i've changed my boost and lines from the inner cooler to the vacuum throttle plate and now i have it tee'd into the vacuum line that runs the ecu. i'm showing 10lbs all the time. when i go to the pully calculator it says i should have 8.8lbs, i don't get it? what will happen if i go with a 26 bottom and 22 top pulley? will the fuel pump handle it, will the engine? i only run 118 octane fuel and the motor's bone stock.
i forgot to mention i run the sled at 10,800rpm and i'm at 1000ft elevation.
