Words cannot describe the difference the SC10 III has made to my 03 RX1. Studder bumps that would have pounded the crap out you on the pro action are hardly noticed on the SC10. Set full soft it will bottom (softly) on the BIG bumps. This is all good, but the biggest difference the SC10 III has made to this sled is in the handling dept. NO more ski lift, no more push and grab cornering, this thing just rails in the corners (think 700sx.......... No kidding!!!) I do have camoplast blow molded skis also, but the skid is the main reason for this transformation. Steering effort is minimal, there is NO push in the front end............. Just rip and rail all day long!!!
This is what this sled should have been from the factory.
My mods:
SC10 III
long sway links, with stock bar.
2.3 straight rate front springs set on min preload.
.850 cat track, with 144, 1.25" studs down the middle.
Cat/ Camoplast blow molded skis with 6" carbide.
Stock 03 seat with extra 2" of added foam.
Now this is the nicest trail sled I have ever ridden!

Hey Dave,
If you would like to see some pics of what the trails looked like in the county last weekend, go to the LOUNGE section and you shall find a post started by Hondo called Northern Maine trail conditions,I posted some pics there !!

Thats great to hear! It sounds like the Doo and Cat skids both have similar end results. When I try to tell people the benefits of the Cat skid, many find it hard to believe the rear skid would improve cornering and eloiminate ski lift. I had checked into the SC10III, but they were harder to find (and not as cheap) than the Cat skids. I probably would have gone with the Doo skid if I would have found one in the same price range. Glad to hear it worked out well for you!
