4/7/07 Amazing snowfall in the U.P.

Guys I've talked to the lady at the Big Bay Motel Once this morning and again about 10 minutes ago. She just told Me that in that span they have received about 10 more inches on top of 40+ inches all ready in her yard. She also said the snow up in the woods is probably in the 50+ inch range. I'm trying to get My ducks in a row and head up in the next 24 to 72 hours. She told Me they have snow in the forecast thru Thursday. They have stopped grooming up there but the off trail riding up there is amazing.

I didn't go all the way to Big Bay. I got to Muni last night and said to hell with another hour's + worth of driving after seeing the snow banks around Munising. The trails were O.K. for no grooming But the off trail stuff was Excellent.

Where did ya stay Super , how was it from the room to da woods any snow left in town.

I stayed at the americinn. The trail was whooped getting to 8, but on Monday I had good snow all the way from the parking lot. At the end of the day the trail back to wetmore was getting a little dirty slush in the center of the trail but nothing bad. I had the most fun on the bike trails. Small field areas had deep snow, the bigger clear cut area's had alot of junk (stumps) showing.
