Whats it worth to buy???? is it refundable if never used????

As a Canadian buying a USA sled with YES warrenty will I have coverage in Canada??? :4STroke:

$500 Yankee +or-.

No refund if you do not use.

Might be usable in Canada but you will have to go thru some hoops to get it and you may not.

Seems to me the contract I received did state something about a refund, but I'm fairly certain it wasn't after the 4-years. Maybe something about cancelling it a few months after buying or something? I can check mine if nobody else comments on it.

And No, I've spoken to a couple dealers and you need to go to the U.S. for warranty work. Unless the dealer is running warranty through on someone else's VIN or something...

From the contract:

CANCELLATION
Cancellation By The Customer
You may cancel this Y.E.S. Contract at any time. To cancel,
you must mail this Y.E.S. Contract or provide written notice
to the YAMAHADealer who sold you this Y.E.S. Contract.
If you cancel this Y.E.S. Contract within the first thirty (30)
days and you have not incurred a claim, a 100% refund of the
purchase price will be made less a $25 administrative fee. If
you cancel this Y.E.S. Contract after thirty (30) days or you
have incurred a claim, a pro-rata refund will be made based
upon the time used, less an administrative fee of $25. For
new vehicles, the original date the YAMAHA Limited
Warranty went into effect is used to calculate the elapsed
term of the Y.E.S. Contract. All refunds will be paid to you
or to the lienholder if applicable by the YAMAHA Dealer
who sold you this Y.E.S. Contract.

I have the 4 year on my GT and glad I did as I have had a failure of the E shock and it was covered so paid for itself, and I have 2 years left.

Good for resale also

I think your question was, As a Canadian is a US sled warranty valid for you, and I believe the answer is no. Not even the first year factory warranty is valid. I think it is Yamaha's way of discouraging cross border shopping. There may be ways around it, but not if you register in your name in Canada. I don't know this for fact, but it is what I have heard. All that aside, I know I need not remind you about Yamaha reliability.

Not true...I have a U.S. sled registered in my name here in Canada and my warranty is valid, but the work must be done in the U.S.
