450 Kodiak electrical problem

I have a 2007 450 kodiak automatic and the wires on the speed sensor got red hot as if shorted. Now there is no spark on my sparkplug a friend has one like it and I tried cdi powerpack, ignition, electronic dash and tested continuity on stator everything checks out does anybody have any idea whats on the go?
