8" too big?

I order 8" bergstrom triple point carbides for my attak with a 1.25 Ice Ripper track (288 tire studs).

Do you think his is too much, should I have gone with 6"?

I run 8 inch...ordered 2 sets.

With as behind as he is lately I may cancel and get new skis instead

not only because of that, just the fact these stock skis dont work well enough across the varying types of conditions I see.

I have 144 down the middle of a 121 and I love the Bite of my 8". I would rather error on the side of caution and have a little to much bite. I think you will be fine. I'm now into 2500 miles and my Bergstrom still have life.

My opinion is that may be too much carbide for the Ice Ripper track. I think you would have been fine with the 6".

Good luck with getting them new Bergstroms timely. Scott is great to do business with and very knowledgeable, dont get me wrong, but there have been alot of complaints about people waiting for their carbides to arrive, especially during the riding season. And last I heard, somebody ripped off his last shipment of carbide stock, which may mean an even longer.

Like I said, great guy, great product, but just be prepared to wait.
