Hi, ive put a new belt on my 2021 SRX and its sitting lowing in the secondary clutch, how do I get the belt to sit alittle higher?
I know on the old Yamaha’s you added or removed shims, ive searched the internet and cannot seem to find the proper process.
Thanks

It's in the owners manual.
Remove bolt that holds secondary clutch on shaft. Slide aluminum plug off of bolt and add one small washer which will allow secondary to close more. Install aluminum plug back on bolt and install back on shaft.
No need to remove clutch at all while setting deflection.

Just need the big washer and plug to hold secondary on.
If you blew a belt you might want to remove secondary and disassemble to clean all cords out. That might keep it from closing more.

I am pretty sure you need to add a washer in between plug and large washer to close secondary. It's in the owners manual.

Washers between bolt head and large washer are there for storage and don't affect secondary at all

Why is the "new" belt sitting low? You would think, if anything it would be high.
Did you run the machine and make sure the secondary clutch was completely closed?

Right, you do add a washer. Why is the "new" belt sitting low? You would think, if anything it would be high.

Take note also there are different thicknesses available, .5mm and 1mm.
