I have the original battery in my 2009 RS Venture GT, it was load tested last fall and even though I asked the dealer to replace it, he refused saying it was perfectly fine. However, next winter, it's happening.
My understanding is the Yuasa battery YTX20HL-BS is the one to get, as it has the highest CCA (310). Am I missing a brand, is there anything else out there I should look at before pulling the trigger. Sealed battery, gel ???
Appreciate the advice in advance.

Yuasa YTX20HL-BS is probably the best battery out there. Got mine through Royal Distributing recently with free shipping and was a good price.

I would go with a lithium battery double the cold cranking amps, double the life, and it only weighs 3.5 lbs.

you could go with an odyssey virgin lead battery, or an AGM battery like a motobatt..the odyssey battery triples the CCA for the first 7 seconds the key is turned..you would be looking at 900+ CCA!!!

I put that exact battery in my Apex. Glad I did. This is the first year I've had it in and it always turned over very quickly on the coldest days.
X2 on RD as thrasher said.
You won't be disappointed with it.
