After looking at the Nitro....

I was thinking about putting some risers and wind guards on my Rage anyways......has any one done this?
I've got a 2" articulating riser along with handguards on my Rage, works great. Nice thing about the articulating bars is you can set them different for the type of riding you're doing for the day. Set them way up for boondocking or down and back for cruising. I stayed with stock bars and cables so I don't know if they loosen up with an impact other than rolling the sled on to a plowed road. They went right down to the tank when I did that.

Regarding the Nytro seat, the Yamaha guys told us it wasn't a simple "bolt-on" during the prototype ride. Take it for what it's worth.

Exactly SledderSteve. The chassis for the 06 sleds is NOT the same as the 05's. The 06 has the Deltabox II chassis which has been redesigned to move everything (including the rider) forward. Even though it looks similar, the gas tank has been redesigned as well to accomodate the new seat.

yeah but is the nytro a deltabox 2 chassis,

Hmmm, after looking at Yamaha's site, for the Nitro it just says "Deltabox chassis" where as for the Apex sleds it says "Deltabox II chassis".

I don't think they changed anything but the handlebar riser and the seat, and shocks.......just looking at it, you can see it's based off a Vector.

yes

yes , i think the same thing even the back tail light is the same where as with the new chassis it has a new taillight, i can see that the apex and attack seats will not fit on a vector but it seems like the nytro one would unless they really changed the gas tank but everything else seems the same as the old chassis
