I am bordering 8000 miles on my sled and have been monitoring my front pivot arm closely, welding all the cracks as they appear. Took a 319 mile trip yesterday only to find on my arrival home that three more welds have now let go. I am not certain that I'll ever finish chasing all the breaks. Has anyone found a solid replacement/solution to this? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. 06 RTX

Pivot arm strengthening
I posted a strengthning solution in Jan. I have since done almost 4000 miles and took the opportunity to check everything last night. The Pivot arm is looking in perfect condition.

Re: Pivot arm strengthening
This is very helpful, greatly appreciated. I just ran the pivot arm to a buddy who will shear me the gussets from 14 gauge. We'll have it welded up and going for the weekend. Many thanks.

Re: Pivot arm strengthening
Just one last thought. You may wish to tag on some fix points for the shock remote cable while welding the forward pivot webs. I forgot this and ended up drilling some fixing holes but it would be easy to tack on some split tubing which would offer better protection too. Just a thought!!!

Thanks, Ice has torn the remote cable off so many times that I have left it off. Would have forgotten to make provisions had you not posted.
Thanks again,
