Anybody making an aftermarket weight transfer rod? Broke mine yesterday up in sprucedale, on, and had a heck of a time geting the broken rod off w/ the crappy tool kit so had to mcgiver to get her back to the motel without doing more damage. Cant ride without it, right? Kept bottoming out and track ratched bad.

Have read on this site about a lot of guys running without the rod.Don't know about any aftermarket ones but it sure would be nice to have a electric transfer rod like the rear shock on the GT !!! :-o

Plenty of people have rode without the trasfer rod. The only down side is having no ski pressure when on the throttle and if you are doing wheelies or skiies, whatever you want to call them, and you don't have antistab guards on the front of your rails you might send a rail through your track. If you are ratcheting bad and bottoming out that sounds like you could have busted your w-arm up. A friend of mine has an apex and broke his w-arm in three places and him not knowing about the w-arm failures he just tightened his track on the trail and kept riding. Busted the w-arm up pretty bad but was ridable to get home. I would definitly take out your skid and do a once-over to check everything else. I don't think loosing your trasfer rod would make your track loosen and skid to bottom out more frequently.
