AFTERMARKET WINDSHIELDS??

Does anyone have any info on any aftermarket companys that have any windshield options out for us APEX owners?

Polaris must have done the same thing. It's a year later and still no aftermarket shields for the wife's RMK 900 (even from Sportech) unless you buy it from Polaris Industries. I want the new red chrome windshield on the RS Vector Mtn SE for my silver '03 RX-1 mtn but, Yamaha doesn't list it yet. Hmmmm maybe I should PM Port Parts and see if he can "hook a brotha up" .

Speaking of hooking a brotha up you will want to get your hands on Yamaha p/n SMA-8FA96-10-RC when they become available this fall. That is the number for the low Red Chrome windshield like the one found on the Vector Mountain SE. They aren't available yet but should be soon. If you want to get one on order give me a call.

As far as windshields for the Apex/Attak models Yamaha has plenty of new bends and designs coming out for them. They will offer the lows like what comes stock on the GT and RTX. They will also offer some of their new design lows that are higher than the GT and RTX style offering better wind protection but yet killer looks. Some have Chrome to Black fading and I believe they will also have a Blue Chrome in that style. They will also have some new design mid heights out that have some Chrome to Black fades that look awesome yet offer very good wind protection. I think these will be the hottest sellers to GT owners looking for style and function. There will also be some taller versions in clear with black on the bottom for those looking for the best wind protection available. I am sure that the Yamaha web page will be updating in the near future to show some of the new stuff as the above link shows alot of descriptions. We have many of the above windshields on order it will just be a matter of time till they start arriving.

I'll give you a call as soon as my new Debit Card arrives. My old one expired in June and the new one was lost in the mail. I had to close it out and order a new one. Should be here next week.
