Well, I don't have to tell you guys this, but the 06 wheels are junk. I just keep warping them and have to get new ones every 200-400 miles. I took my sled to the dealer today and will be working with them to solve this issue once and for all. I was thinking of going to aluminum wheels. Has anyone ever used aluminum wheels and what did you think of them? They have cnc aluminum wheels in Hi Performance Engineering catalog for 60 bucks each. If I can get the dealer to pay for 40 of each I will get them and be done with these junk wheels.

Try using some OEM Yamaha wheels from the 80's. They're rubberized and a helovalot cheaper than $60/.

I make CNC billet aluminum wheels here at ECP. They are fine as long as you don't run studs in your track. The head of the studs will ruin them in a hurry.

I am waiting for the service manager to get back on Monday. Then I am going to talk to him about either the black w/silver wheels that are in the Yamaha accesories book or have them spring for 40 bucks each on aluminum wheels. But, which are better??? I don't plan to stud my ripsaw, so aluminum should be better I would think?

It's BS to have these worries on a new sled.
