Hey bottlerocket, do the results of the shoot-out really mean that much to you ? Results from any races or speedruns or shoot-outs vary greatly from run to run, and day to day. I,m amazed that they mean so much to some. Like I said earlier, there is away more to sledding than arriving to the end of 500' or 1000' a second or 2 before your buddies. To most people that truly enjoy sledding, the results mean diddly squat. Realiability is much more important to most people. I like to get there, and back safetly, under the power of my own machine. And I agree with nbsledder. You gotta ride what you feel proud to
own, not like getting caught by your buddies with a fat chick, even thou she may be great at what she does. LOL

Read last years post if you dont think it matters as a matter of fact any shoot out for any type of motorsport. It matters to more then you think. My point is the losers always claim excuses such as weather, distance, break in, ect ect. Polaris won this year end of story with no sugar coating....just saying these results have been bragging rights for many years and many more to come.

That's why when I race other sleds doos/poos or cats I make them run like 5 miles on a lake because yammers are the only motors that you can just hold to the bar forever! LOL

Seems like the Poo's tend to do well at this shootout year in and year out. In the real world though.........................

Makes perfect sense. Your saying there bias but yet they pic the vec in 600 class! Great point or maybe not.... Nobody buys sled based on this report but bragging rights are king. Congrats to popo is all I can say.

Maybe they had no choice?

Personally, I don't take much stock in any sled mag as usually the biggest contributor usually gets the best reviews it seems.
To me, these forums are the best if you are looking for actual true info.

Well I am NOT trying to start anything on my observation. I have subscribed to Amsnow's magazine for a long time, so going way back the White Lake Polaris guys have done well in this shootout. The weird thing is I have ridden with many of these same machines over the years and it never seems to pan out like the shootout. But as we all know it is just one day, one set of conditions....etc. ..etc...
