Well, at 2540 miles I checked, and sure enough, a cracked W-Arm. I found it while trying to free-up another jammed locking collar on the center shock  IMO those are the sh#$iest, piss poor sorry-a$$ excuses for shocks I've ever seen. The arm isn't too far behind either

At least they're covered  I can't wait for the skid to fall apart so I have a good excuse to get an '05 mono

Sorry, I gave the sled to the dealer already. Maybe they'll let me snap a shot of the arm after they remove it? THEY ARE POORLY CONSTRUCTED though :(

Mine broke on my srx 3 times this year,i hate having to pamper my sled over the bumps because the suspension cant handle it.

I honestly cant believe nobody has reinforced thier W-Arm seeing how they have always broken since Phazers in 84. It was one of the very first modifications I did to the sled. The breakage happens at the top of the W where it connects to the upper cross-shaft. I took two pieces 1/8 metal and wrapped It around the cross-shaft and conected the outer top parts of the W where it connects to the upper cross-shaft. I have done this particular mod on all my phazers and exciters and a couple v-maxs and had no problems even though they never saw a "groomed trail". I neglected to take a pic of my modification and theres still powder and ditchs to ride so come summer-time I will take a shot or two and report on its reliability.

My W-Arm craked just above the rubber bumper. I did not see if it cracked closer to the top. I DID inquire on the availability of the '05 suspension as a possible upgrade item though. Too soon to know, but I'll bet the Vector skid would still be better than what it's got now

My wife is really harping me now by saying, "That's typical Japanese for ya. Look at their cars, sure the motors may go forever but the bodies fall apart and rust out sooner."

At least it's not a cat  (She's a Cat fan, but can't ride anymore due to chronic back problems.)
