Sorry to post one of these again, but I'm new to Yamaha's and have an interesting situation.

Coming from a Renegade to a 2014 Viper XTX 2 days ago I'm absolutely in love with the Viper. But as I get my Renegade ready for sale, I'm stripping some of the parts worth money to either sell or re use. I have a set of EVOL RC2 from a Snocross team on the Gade right now that I really sort of liked. But I'm also pretty happy with the Viper Float 3's. A bit of pushing, and some inside lift, but I'll hopefully figure that out. Anyways, because I have both, I'm kind of interested in what you all would do? RC2 or stockers? Whatever I use means the others get sold, so that's almost $1000 for the RC2 if I sell them. Anybody have an idea what the Float 3's sell for? I'm in Canada by the way.

I know opinions are like a$$holes, but just wondering what the Yamaherd would think?

Thanks in advance

to replace one is 1300 cad just to give to a idea

FWIW I love the RC2's on my Viper. They need proper valving specs, but they work VERY well. I was just riding Sunday on dual use trails that have huge erosion berms (Harrison hills) and was enjoying myself and giving my arms a working "sqiuirting" off these berms. I felt as though some of my landings were taking me a bit deep in the travel so I clicked up the high speed on the fronts 2 clicks each and the difference was huge. Added 4 clicks to the rear zero pro and same thing.

Thanks TD Max. So are you saying they need to be sent out for valving? Mine are still as the race team ran them, and I've spent a lot of time chasing proper settings on the Renegade. I'd much rather be riding than adjusting...

Depends how you like them. They may be fine. Not sure a shock will swap from Doo to Cat I would think the length difference would be significant.
