What do you guys think of this location? It's a RAM handlebar mount, The regular round base mount would have had to hit the bridgeport for a trim job. 2 Stainless bolts and a 1/8" thick rectangular washer with 2 holes help strengthen inside the riser mount area. Also put on my Ohlins last night.

NICE LOOKIN SLED
Looks good I have 1 question though, can you see it if you are sitting or the bars a tad too high.
Sorry two questions.........did you hard wire it in or are you just using the battery.

Not to change the subject but the shocks look great. I was thinking of doing the same set-up on my Attack w/ my snowcheck dollars. Have you every had front Ohlins before, if so how did you like them? Did you change the rear shock also?

nice mount Job. I am thinking of putting my Gps on also
I wonder why no one ever talks about this but my gps screen freezes when exposed to the extreme cold and is useless. It is a Garmin and fairly new. It works great when i put it in the sleeve of my coat but freezes if left out. I have always been skeptical of mounting on the sled for this reason.

That looks like a pretty smooth and simple mount, nice job. I considered the ram mounts a few years back when I did mine, but wasn't sure how they would hold up to the miles and miles of trail pounding. Have you used them before on a sled?
This is how I did mine http://www.snowmobileworld.com/foru...8294bbecb9fa658f6fe3b5e&showtopic=23867&st=15
For the cold screen, I made my own case and it has worked great. The case retains the heat from the screen and buttons, and keeps the unit warm enough.

The one picture is pretty close to actual rider position for me ( 5' 10").. As far as power I will use "AA" or cigarette adapter. Never had my screen freeze up or any glitch. I talked to Garmin once and they told me other than being slow it should work fine in cold temps.
Thanks for all the compliments guys. The Ohlins kind of give it that Blue and Gold "MICHIGAN WOLVERINE" feel. Yes I have had them before and the range of compression adjustment is noticable. I like them alot. As for the rear skid I am going with the heavier spring for now.
Brian how are your mods coming on the RX-1?

I used one for the first time last year and I think they are first cabin all the way. Like the Ronco cooker "Set it and forget it."
