I have a shorty and we just completed a new cabin about 19 miles back in the woods. When taking the family up for the weekend I'd like to be able to tow in some food, water, fuel etc.
We have a little wooden box style sleigh, but I'm wondering if anyone has installed a hitch on a shorty yet?

How much tow weight can one of these handle? Say using an oem rear hitch bumper?

I'm pretty sure Yellowknife used one last year with a regular bumper and made it most of the season towing some pretty big loads. He ended up having to reinforce the welds on the hitch itself, but he did pretty good.
I only want to tow a couple hundred pounds. No more than the force put on the bumper when stuck.

My buddy has a apex, and we were thing of hooking up a snow tube to it. Funny conversations come up while drinking
Sounds like a big guy on a tube in a field would be a youtube moment

This is something I am interested in as well. Light loads going into cabin and back.
Just talked to dealer and he said it isn't available yet.

Just chatted with my dealer. They are on back order. Couldn't tell me how long because I didn't actually order.
My old man is a retired welder. May have to get him to make me up something like this.
