Was out in the garage doing my weekly "once over" and noticed that one of the revolver pins is missing on the left hand side. Has anyone else had this happen? Also, are these specific strength rated or can I find one at my local Tractor Supply, LOWES. Home Depot, trailer shop etc?

Thanks

It's a suspension adjustment pin on the ZX2 suspension from AD Boivin.

Lost another last week while doing the Gaspe. What gives? Made some adjustments and WOW! This thing is REALLY COMING ALIVE!!!!! It is like a whole new sled! Turn up the preload, revolver at 2 - 4 and soften a on the front preload while turning up the front dampening and watch out!

Lost one within the last couple weekends as well. Are you guys getting the pins covered under warranty?

nope, cost me $16 or something like that.

Shane, I picked up some funky fastener at Ace hardware that was like a pin with a small threaded end. It was the same diameter and lengnth as the original pin with a small section that is threaded on the end. I slid it in from the inside and double nutted it on the outside. It works great and won't come off without a wrench.

I put a bolt in for a temp fix. If they won't cover it then I guess I will go to the hardware and try and find a better solution. This should be warranty.

I'm going to take a guess as to why people are loosing them. I noticed on mine that huge balls of ice form on the ring on the end of the pin. The ice weighs as much or more then the pin.

My thought is the weight of the ice may be pulling the pins out as they bounce around. I since clean the ice off the pins pull rings. Just a thought! maybe a crazy thought but I can't see why else they would come out.

The other thought is that you guys gotta keep playing with the revolver adjustment and probably are forgetting to put it in all the way.

I'm sure that's how "bobblehead" Shane lost his :) :tg:

I haven't lost any but I went to aubuchon hardware and pick up a couple spares for my trip to the Gaspe...just in case. I can't see how they would come out unless you didn't have it pushed into both sides? They only cost a few bucks a piece. I did have 1 ruined rubber bushing on one side and the other side had 1 missing. Jeff set new ones free of charge.

No Stoutner, I actually forgot to LEAN! :-o :nos

If you're not going to be switching the pins often, maybe drill a hole through the end of the pin and slip a clip through the hole, like a clevis pin setup.
