I was just reading the magazine and they said Polaris has a 900 model coming out in 07' with another weight savings by making the track windows bigger and center holes for a center driver ?? What gives, on the web site i don't see anything about a 900 RMK or Dragon yet the magazine is talking about them ? Anyone have the low down........ not that this changes my decision in the least bit just curious ?
 

Hmmm, don't think so. Everything I have read said Polaris has dropped its 900 motor from the 07 line-up, including their web site. I'm guessing they realised that they couldn't work out the bugs in the motor and dropped it from the line-up to focus on quality. Polaris will take quite a bit of heat from their muscle sled customers because Poo doesn't have a big sled to compete with the others.
 
I agree, I've seen nothing but if you look at the magazine it says they have a 900 in track lengths 155 & 166 , OOPS , I guess that was a late change? Just thought it was strange to see this after all the fuss of no big Iron from them in 07' ................ :moon:
 
The plug was pulled on the 900 after the mag went to press.

Somebody pretty high on the food chain at Polaris finally said "enough is enough" we're not going to release something that's going to come back and bite us... again!

Gutsy but commendable move IMHO.
 
I figured this was the case

smart move considering it was a P.O.S. , They had all year to work on fixing it or developing something equivalent wonder why they are so lagging on the sled side of there business, makes you wonder if they even want to be a contender any more .
 
well, if you lookat the writing on their snowflap it says polaris, the way out. what it should say is polaris, ON the way out.

LMAO......that's so true and the die hard Polaris guys don't even see it.......heads are all in the sand. I personally don't want to see them leave , i'd like to see them come out with more turbo four stroke stuff to inspire Yamaha to do the same....... but what they have now is far from inspiring....LOL.
 
I'm gettin the crap beat out of me over at HCS because I told them I'm bailing on Polaris by checking an 07ER. They honestly think the FST is a viable alternative to the Apex!

LMFAO.....that is the dumbest #*$&@ i've heard in a LONG LONG time ! From what I've read and heard from FST owners last year it's a real pile of chit ! Perhaps this has improved DRASTICALLY , though the likely hood of that happening is like Yamaha Canada lowering the sled prices....LOL.
